Elizabeth Yeomans
Volunteer
Volunteer Elizabeth Yeomans has made an extraordinary contribution to the Taylor Museum through her dedicated work organizing and documenting the museum’s archaeological collections.
Elizabeth has recorded over 900 artifacts from the museum site, carefully organizing them by type and cross-referencing them with original excavation records to identify confirmed and missing materials. She also digitized the site’s stratigraphic map and mapped approximately 500 artifacts, helping visualize how materials relate across soil layers and strengthening the museum’s understanding of the site’s history.
In addition, she has assisted with preparing artifacts for proper long-term storage and continues research to better understand the site’s chronology and material culture. Her thoughtful, methodical approach has transformed decades-old records into accessible, usable data, ensuring this important collection can support future research, interpretation, and preservation.
