This summer, the Taylor Museum of Waco invites the community to come together for an unforgettable evening of art, music, and celebration as we honor America’s 250th Anniversary.

“Celebrating 250 Years of Independence” will be held on July 3 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Art Center in Waco (701 S. 8th Street), bringing together families, friends, and supporters for a lively, high-energy evening that reflects both the spirit of our nation and the creativity of our local community.


Hosted in partnership with the Jacob de Cordova Society and Art Center Waco, this public arts and fundraising event promises something for everyone.


An Evening of Music, Art, and Community

Guests will enjoy a dynamic lineup of entertainment and experiences throughout the night:

  • Live Music All Evening From acoustic favorites to high-energy tribute performances, the event features multiple musical acts to keep the celebration going from start to finish.

  • Poetry Reading A special reading by Sandy Horton adds a thoughtful and artistic dimension to the evening.

  • Food & Drink Enjoy delicious offerings from local favorite J & D Smashburger, along with beer and wine available at the cash bar.

  • Local Vendors & Artisans Browse a curated selection of makers and specialty vendors, including handcrafted goods, gourmet treats, and unique finds.

  • Silent Auction Bid on exciting items while supporting the museum’s mission.

This family-friendly event blends culture, entertainment, and community into one memorable celebration.
